Giovanni is an Italian chef with 33 years of experience. His story is still being written, but his vast knowledge has been built up over time, working in many European kitchens in countries such as Switzerland, the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia and the UK.
For him the art of cooking is a gift we have all received from nature and should be honoured as such. All the dishes he cooks become a sensory experience to be experienced to the full. The enthusiasm with which he enters the kitchen every day is the ingredient that makes all the difference. All the cultural-culinary baggage acquired during his travels has been harmoniously combined with his passion for Mediterranean cuisine.
Since he has honoured us with his role as chef at the Crowne Plaza Bucharest Hotel, we have learned from him the importance of commitment and the desire to make delicious food every day. For him it is essential to use natural ingredients, with a strong emphasis on using seasonal produce supplied by local producers. Whatever cuisines of the world he has visited and new approaches to working he has encountered, he carries the Mediterranean spirit with him everywhere. Known as the healthiest, Mediterranean cuisine is the foundation from which every dish is based. Colour, fresh herbs and a wealth of flavours are all integral to Giovanni's culinary art.
